Event Introduction

Hello Youth & Adult Allies! Sign up for BLING's application workshop where you can get support on your Youth Social Justice Project grant application. We welcome youth at all stages of their application and we have workshops designed to support youth at the different stages. Read below what type of workshops we're offering and what ticket you should select.

Info Session

The first 30 minutes of our event will be an info session where participants will learn more about the grant opportunity and the break down of the application.

Workshops Offered

1. Creating My Idea - Just Starting

   • This workshop session is for young people that are interested in the grant, but need help creating their idea. Maybe you have an idea, but don't know how to turn it into a project, or maybe you don't have an idea, but you want to come up with one and submit your idea to BLING. This workshop is for you! Tickets for this workshop are unlimited.

2. Figuring it Out - In the Middle

   • For young people that aren't finished or just starting. You have something, but you need advice to move forward with your application, or have additional questions that weren't answered during the main info session. Maybe you want to understand how to put your budget together, maybe you just need to know what BLING considers a strong application, maybe you want tips on how to set up your project, or decide what items to purchase implement your project, etc. If that sounds like you, sign up for this workshop! Tickets for this workshops are unlimited.

3. 1-on-1 Application Review

   • Work 1-on-1 with a BLING youth philanthropist to improve your application. This is for groups with completed/near completed applications wanting feedback before final submission. Each 1-on-1 will last 30 minutes. There are limited 1-on-1's available. BLING will be offering 10 1-on-1s broken up into two rounds. Round 1 will take place from 4:30-5:00. Round 2 will take place from 5:00-5:30. When selecting a 1-on-1 ticket, only one person can get the ticket. If you are in a group and would like your group present for your one-on-one, schedule your 1-on-1, then contact bling@yli.org to have your group members invited to the 1-on-1.
